Nikki Hamp, MD, FAAP

Dr. Hamp is the medical director of Arbor Autism Centers and co-chair of the advocacy committed for the Section on Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (SODBP). She serves as Michigan's Early Childhood Champion for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Early Childhood. She sits on the board for the Autism Alliance of Michigan and the steering committee for the Think Babies Michigan Policy Initiative. Her advocacy efforts are extensive with her clinical focus including autism and developmental disabilities.

Dr. Solomon is retired and no longer available for patient appointments.


Dr. Solomon is a board-certified pediatrician and developmental pediatrician who specializes in autism spectrum disorders. He is the author of Autism: The Potential Within and creator of the Play Project Autism Treatment. He has 25 years of experience in working with children on the autism spectrum. Focused on positive outcomes and a lifelong impact, he provides supportive guidance to families with an emphasis on the child's unique needs and strengths

Philip Menard, CCC-SLP

Philip Menard is the clinical director of Arbor Autism Centers and a speech language pathologist. He created the STEPS Autism Program and ToMs Theory of Mind Gaming Program at the University of Michigan and has over 20 years of experience helping families with autism. His understanding of the unique interplay between communication, behavior, development, and motivation within our environment helps to create the most effective, individualized programming. These strategies that apply research principles in clinical settings and their outcomes have been presented nationally.

 Jill Matson is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner who has over 14 years of experience working with children and families affected by autism and other developmental disabilities. She brings extensive knowledge and expertise from her previous positions at Children’s Hospital of Michigan-Pediatric Neurology, Center for Exception

 Jill Matson is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner who has over 14 years of experience working with children and families affected by autism and other developmental disabilities. She brings extensive knowledge and expertise from her previous positions at Children’s Hospital of Michigan-Pediatric Neurology, Center for Exceptional Families, Beaumont’s Center for Human Development, and the Autism Alliance of Michigan. Jill focuses on developmental, behavioral, and educational approaches when providing ongoing care as well as associated medical and mental health conditions, and medication management, if needed. Jill is compassionate in her approach to care and is committed to helping children reach their full potential.  


Jill completed her undergraduate studies at University of Detroit Mercy and received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Wayne State University. She has presented at numerous autism conferences across the state and is the parent of a child with autism.

Katelynn Krause the program coordinator Arbor Autism Centers and a licensed occupational therapy, autism swim certified provider and certified lifeguard, who has spent the entirety of her career working in pediatrics, most specifically focusing on autism treatment. Katelynn obtained a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Grand Valley State University and started her career at Michigan Medicine as a student intern training in the STEPS Autism Treatment Program. Shortly after, she became a permanent member of the STEPS treatment team. She is now continuing to follow her passion for working with children with autism and their families.

Nathaniel Friedman is a senior speech language pathologist with over 10 years of experience helping families with autism. Bringing experience from Michigan Medicine and Beaumont's Center for Exceptional Families, Nathaniel's focus on multi-disciplinary approaches to problem solving and family care drives the development of individuals, families, and program development.

Alyssa has always had a passion for working with children though her experience includes people of all ages. Her experience with autism, those with mental health challenges, and those who have faced trauma add to our

Alyssa started her career in the school setting and is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to help better serve families at Arbor Autism Centers.

Jessica Morrison is a board-certified behavior analyst who attended University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign, obtaining her Bachelors in Psychology with a child development focus. After graduating in 2001, she worked in Illinois as a case manager at a residential facility for men living with developmental disabilities. She moved back to Michigan to attend Wayne State University. There she obtained her Masters in Counseling with a focus on School and Rehabilitation Counseling. She began working in public schools in 2007 as a paraprofessional. After graduating with her masters in 2009, she continued working in the schools as a paraprofessional, Title 1 coordinator, and substitute counselor. She went back to school for her Behavior Analyst Degree in 2012. Jessica is a fan of soccer and closely follows Tottenham Hotspur FC. She lives in Ann Arbor with her partner, Allen, two kids and two cats.

Reema Shah is a licensed and board-certified speech language pathologist with six years of experience serving pediatrics in a variety of settings. Reema comes to Arbor Autism Centers with unique clinical experiences from delivering Early Intervention services in the Northern suburbs of Chicago, serving on the preschool multidisciplinary assessment and diagnostics team at an Illinois public school and later kicking off speech and language services at an Autism Center working alongside BCBAs in Michigan. Reema is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, and is personally and professionally, passionate about bilingualism. When Reema is not providing therapy; she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, and interior decorating, preferably while eating ice cream.

Amanda Jager is a licensed speech language pathologist and feeding specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Grand Valley State University and accepted an internship with Michigan Medicine’s STEPS Autism Program. After successful completion of the STEPS internship, Amanda attended Emerson College where she received her master’s degree in speech language pathology. Amanda’s graduate clinical work focused on the evaluation and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders and feeding difficulties for children with autism. During her clinical fellowship, Amanda developed the Arbor EATS Feeding Program which seeks to provide evidence-based treatment to children with pediatric feeding disorders and a variety of feeding difficulties.

Celeste Krawchuck is a licensed occupational therapist who has worked with children and their families who have been affected by autism, various genetic disorders, and developmental delays. She obtained a master's degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University and began her career at an autism clinic in Ohio, where she initiated their occupational therapy program. She has also worked in an outpatient pediatric clinic with children of all ages. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outside.

Abbey Phillipson is our front desk and a behavior tech. She is a University of Michigan graduate working to receive her PhD in Clinical Psychology within the coming years of her studies and practice. She has extensive experience in working with people with Autism in various settings as a Registered Behavior Technician, an independent living aid, and as the director of Adaptive Gymnastics Michigan, a gymnastics program serving children and teens with developmental disabilities across Southeast Michigan. Abbey served as Dr. Solomon’s pre-med intern and shadowed him in his last year of practice and assists in various areas of Arbor Autism Centers.

When she isn’t working with children, she is going on little adventures with her spouse or her two dogs.
