This program focuses on helping children and adolescents develop functional living skills and vocational skills required to pursue meaningful employment opportunities. Occupational therapists and speech language pathologists work together to carry out evidence-based interventions that can help increase job readiness skills. These may include self-advocacy, time management skills, pragmatic and social communication skills, conflict resolution, home management skills, financial management, and much more. Through simulated interviews, role play scenarios alongside peers, and both patient and caregiver educational components, our mission is to promote community involvement and independence within individuals’ everyday lives.
